Jean Baptiste Accola? was born on the 17th April 1833 in Brussels. He studied violin at the Brussels Music Conservatory under Lambert Joseph Meerts and Nicolas Lambert Wery. After working as a solo hornist in the cuirassier regiment in Bruges and as a violinist in the theatre orchestra in Namur, he worked as a lecturer at the conservatory in Brussels where he taught violin, viola, string quartet and harmony. Accola? died in Bruges on the 19th August 1990. 

This Book/DVD set includes a DVD with a recording of a lesson in the White Hall in the Sheremetev Palace in St. Petersburg, and a piano and violin arrangement prepared by Zakhar Bron based on the appropriate technical level for the violin.
